Programme description

If you’re currently working as a governance professional and want to develop your career by working in the independent school sector then this module is for you. Broken down into eight key topics this module provides the orientation to help you work effectively with independent school governing boards from the start. Using a mix of practical activities and immersive consolidation tasks you will develop a sound understanding of the rules, practices and governance environment you can expect to find on day one. The module was designed in consultation with AGBIS and also includes useful templates and links to further resources to help you hit the ground running.
